DoxieGuard provides up to $500 in vet reimbursement for eligible injuries to your dog during US bookings. Coverage applies after exhausting pet care liability insurance (primary) and your pet insurance (secondary), plus your $500 minimum contribution. Every booking is automatically protected at no extra cost. Meet & Greet services are not covered.

Every sitter caring for a dachshund has passed Longdog's 20-question Weenie Wizard quiz with a 100% score, covering proper handling, IVDD awareness, and breed-specific care.

Sitters are required to post home photos so you can filter for and check for IVDD-preventative homes — ramps, stair gates, low-impact environments — right on their public profile. Longdog does not inspect or verify sitter homes. This review is your responsibility. We suggest scheduling a meet-and-greet before any daycare or boarding, first at a public space followed by a home check.

No awkward money talks or chasing payments. All transactions are processed through Stripe, the world's most secure payment processor. Your financial data is always encrypted.

Every insurance document submitted by a sitter or dog owner is reviewed and verified by our team before an Insured badge can appear on their profile.

Every stay includes a detailed care log with photos, videos, meal times, potty breaks, medications, and activity levels. Sitters are required to add at least one care log update per service, with the option to add an unlimited number of unique care log updates. Perfect for vet visits or peace of mind.
